About

Livermore Advocates for Public Education (LAPE) is a grassroots network of parents, students, teachers, staff, grandparents, and residents united by one mission: Educate. Advocate. Protect.

We believe in California’s public school system and trust the guidance of our state’s education leaders. We oppose the politicization of our schools, curriculum, teachers, and staff, and we stand for diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in public education.

LAPE formed in response to the spread of misinformation at board meetings and online. We counter harmful narratives with facts—clarifying the laws, policies, and decisions that shape strong educational outcomes for students.

We are independent, volunteer-driven, and unaffiliated with any partisan political organization or the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD). Our focus is supporting our schools and students with honesty, respect, and community engagement.
